1959 1960 impala AC heater kit????????????????
Has anybody installed a ac heater kit from Vintage Air or Classic Auto Air in a 1960 Impala, El Camino, Bel Air? I have looked at both kits they seem well made but the VA kit requires holes in the wheelwell sheetmetal and the CAA kit does not. I am leaning toward the CAA kit because of that, and other reviews at Chevytalk said the evaporator/heater core was a larger unit. Are there any deals on the CAA kit available through the site sponsers? I tried Perry at PTS but he does not sell AC kits. Thanks for any help.

We have been selling and installing Vintage Air units for a long time. We installed one of the Vintage Air Surefit kits into a 1959 Chevy station wagon, and it cooled that big wagon very nicely. The holes were really no big deal since grommets are included. There are many more people familiar with the Vintage Air product line, and if for whatever reason you may ever need a repair part, they are readily available. If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call.
