I haven't seen it done, but if you want to see what it will look like get some wide black electrical tape and go to town. It will give you an idea about how it will look and is easy to remove if you don't like it.

Yeah, I saw Jon's car but was hoping that their was a Camaro out there with it done. I think it would look really good against my forest green. When I get back from holiday travels I'm gonna do the tape trick and throw up the pics.

Have you considered hydrographics since the thickness of the powder coating may cause fitment issues on overlapping parts like the corners of the windows?

I don't even know what hydrographics are. Gonna have to look that up.

I have powder coated trim for many customers, but unfortunately I don't have any pictures. But it does turn out looking great!

I like the black window trims....my panel shop guys talked me into going satin black on the trims on my 71 Firebird. Won't know for a couple of week how it looks, but I'm thinking it'll work well.

I'm gonna do the electrical tape this weekend and I'll take some pics. Throw it up so I can get some opinions.

I am curious as to how UV resistant a hydrographic coating is.

I spoke with a company about hydrohraphics on my trim. The owner said I would be better off powder coating because it is more durable. He didn't explain past that and he didn't seem too interested either. I may contact another company for grins.

I am looking for a set ofoer bumpers to powder coat black, mine are perfect so dont wanna waste them incase i ever rebuild it original. Also going to try to flush mount bumpers, and powdr coated front and rear window trim, drip rails, side chrome pieces from my 67 RS factory stuff, then maybe even powder coat the tail light bezels and the door handles. Also trim around the back up lenses and corner markers. The car is Chevy Indigo blued w dpe 18" brushed wheels but waning to switch to black matte or bronze. CF hoof, jakes front and rear street fighter spoilers. Might do cf wap on inside dash and stuff, and wrap the rtrunk and spoiler to save 1000$

want to try blacking out the trim without making it permanent? get some plasti-dip spray. it isnt permanent and will peel right off, but is durable enough to stay put unless you want it off.

I'm going to use it to do my entire car until i'm ready ( money wise) for a proper paint job. I'm going to remove all of my trim as well, get the dents out, then use a gun metal grey color to coat it until the have the scratch to re-chrome everything.

I'll post some pics once i get it. some of the colors are back-ordered right now.

Cruiser, the 80% gloss looks great. That's what I did my tail light bezels in.
