      Vintage Air GenIV questions

      I have a couple of questions on installation/routing in a 69 camaro.

      1) Per instructions, you drill a hole 1" below drain pipe. How/where did you run the drain line after? Leave it stubbed at the firewall or run it down frame rail, etc?

      2) Best place to locate heater control valve?

We like to keep the hose as close to the center of the car as possible so it is not always dripping water under the tires. Makes a mess on the quarter panel and makes the road slick in those stop light wars.

If your hidding the hoses. We put the heater control valve under the fender well at the firewall, it is not a high service item and it is ugly.

If you are not hidding the hoses, put it anywhere, it's only purpose it to stop water flow inot the heater core when the A/C is on and vice versa

Thanks Frank...so you drill a hole in the tunnel? Doesn't it get on the exhaust? Any pics?

I took a picture this moring of the Gen IV in my Street Racer. When I pulled back the carpet it put a kink in the hose, ignore that. But the hose is going through the horizontial section of the toe board almost at the tunnel, Inboard of the header, almost the middle of the car. So If I am running the A/C in the stagging lanes I do not have to worry about dropping water under the tires at launch.
