Anyone swapped one in from a late model car? Ideally a folding handle with a "soft return" feature. Do they all pretty much mount the same?

Not really looking for something to hold on to but it would help ingress/egress for this particular customer.

I installed a "help get in & out" handle on the passenger side of a '68 Camaro a few years ago.

I ended up using a grab handle from some sort of '80-something Oldsmobuick. It's not soft-return but it is low-profile enough to not matter.

I used some of the existing threaded holes where the old seat belt clips were previously. I whipped up a small stainless adapter plate and it was done. Customer was very happy. Depending on your application a soft return handle may or may not be necessary. Good luck.

The soft return was requested.....sigh. I don't think this is necessary but the customer is always right.

It seema they all pretty much mount the same so I guess it's about finding one that is aesthetically pleasing.
