      Budget/Affordable Mesh-style wheels for 69 Camaro

      Hi Gang,
I am looking for recommendations on budget/affordable mesh-style wheels for my 69 Camaro. I would prefer painted centers but can do that post-purchased. Let me know if you have any suggestions....

After market BMW wheels, there are a lot to chose from and you can find 18x8 and 18x9.5 sizes. You do have to run spacers. that is the cheapest way to get into a mesh wheel. Define what you consider budget and that will help people guide you.

Thanks! I've heard of folks going BMW. I will search the threads for BMW advice.

As for budget, I am trying to stay under $1500 or so. However, my budget is flexible for the right set.

Don't know if they are available in the States but check out the Dotz Mugello wheels. Available in several finishes (regular, Dark, Lake 30): http://www.dotzmag.com/15434_EN?webdid=284

Besides the Mugello's they also have a couple of other interesting designs.

Thanks amargari...Any details on how to get the BMW wheels to fit? What size spacers, etc. These may be the most affordable option.

GTA wheels look good on anything. find a good used set for a couple hundred dollars and get them refinished.. they are "only" 16X8, but there is a company that sells them in custom 17 and 18 inch sizes and offsets that use stock centers in new hoops.

These are the cheapest custom wheels we offer in a "mesh" sorta style:

18's for about 2K, depending on finish...

We have two great Mesh styles available in 18" & 19" sizes: RAD20 and RAD14 (on Stielow's Red Devil) pricing starts at $875.00 per wheel and they're built in Livonia, MI USA!

All the offsets and spacer information is in my link above. Basically you use a mid 80s 5 series wheel in the rear and an modern 3 series in the front with a spacer.

Your best bet is probably the BMW route, unless you can find some aftermarket wheels used. I know that SSR used to make a really nice wheel that was even in sizes we could use, but they are becoming hard to find. I have been trying to find a BBS style mesh wheel for a while as well.

Jon at Driverz is working on a "tight mesh" style wheel, so it may be worth waiting to see what it is.
