If anyone has any additional pics of the GG Fall Del Mar event post them up. I only went Sunday so I don't have a whole lot of pics. I did get there in time to see some of our own from P-T.com throw down on the track. B of S cars definitely look good on the track!

We saw this guy (the white Lucura LC470) on our ride home Sat night. He said he was going to show on Sun at the Autocross. Do you have any time information for this Zo6 based 2,000 lbs car? Looked way cool on the freeway.

I looked at his promo cards he had stuck under his winshield. Very nice looking car. There were two big tubes (about 5" round) that made up his front sub. Cooling for everything, i.e. p/s, oil, ..... Smart looking radiator position and flow to it looked good but still retained aero. I didn't keep the card that had all the selling points because I figured if I got more interested in it I could just google LC470.
In person the car looks much smarter than a Cobra replica. It looked like it was on an icy lake on the auto-X. Looked like he got frustrated and just started doing donuts in the middle of his run. Looked fun but turned an atrocious time.

I spoke with the owner a bit, and every question asked was answered with "I don't know (insert shop name here) set it up that way." He was 2 seconds slower than the trucks and full bodied cars that won their respective classes. With a different driver, I'm sure it had much more potential. Very cool concept for a car.

I did two runs in the white car. Drove nice, good traction due to the rear weight bias. I think I did a 53 1st run & 52 or 51 second run. Could have done better with more runs.

I was just trying to take pics of her exhaust. Rear suspension? ;)
Is it still under development? Hope you guys got some usable data out of the w/end if it is.

Great event.. Once again Mr Pozzi went faster in my car than I did.. need to dial in the shocks for the new rear Hellwig sway bar.

I had a blast both times out in Penny - once with Dave at the wheel (some of that backwards) and then with Steve - have never hit 2nd gear in Penny with the 460ci on the autocross before - Holy mother of God... Then again, Bret V always manages to overshadow Disneyland as the most fun place on earth when I ride with him (this time in the in the 48hr Camaro). Balls-to-the-wall - you could swear he had actually just stolen the car LOL!
All in all, a fun weekend. Was great to see a lot of PT guys stop by to see the car inside (currently relegated to show-car status lol). Appreciate all the positive feedback on the car.
Here's a quick shot before we loaded up on Sunday and headed back to the shop.

Yea, it's nice not having to shift.. Mary drove it and now she wants me to build her a big-inch LS since, in her car, she was shifting all over the place.
And congrats on your '69 winning the "builder's choice" award.. that's quite an honor!

Sweeeeet shots Jon, amazing to see the cars in different suspension poses. I especially like Rob P's truck in full drift with Renner as passenger. That was a wild run.

Looking at these photos, there's no way I could have gone as quick as I did without those RideTech triples. Getting the weight off the front and onto the rear coming out of the corners was mandatory for best traction and without a bump adjustment, I'd have been struggling on this particular course. Seeing the photographs tells me a lot about the suspension and handling.
The car is coming together and more about these shocks to come ...

Mary Pozzi better to look like a water strider than a stink bug or even worst an ant eater. Im curious to see what your anti squat numbers are.
Would it be fair to say your current set up made the car better by increasing adjustibility thus boosting drivers confidence? A theory of mine.
Looks good Mary.

Right back at you Brett. I'll have to hit you up for that ride next time - your car does awesome out there on the track and looked like you were having a ton of fun!
That reminds me.... I really must lock my car up better at these shows. People will just come and help themselves to your stuff when you're not watching! Appreciate any help identifing these two individuals to the authorities :smoke:

Only adjustment I made all weekend was for shocks and tire pressures until they stayed put. The track surface was extremely slippery due to being 1) partially under water the day before, 2) recently slurry sealed, and 3) next to the ocean so all that water also held sand. It took about four hours before the track came to us.
Without an adjustment for bump, both high and low speed, it would have been very difficult to soften the rear for better traction out of the corners. You can only do so much with tire pressures. What's funny is I drove the Camaro from the Fairgrounds to the trailer each night (about two miles each way) and forgot to stiffen bump and rebound. Damn car felt like a waterbed ...
Love the adjustability of the Hotchkis three-link and we've got the static base adjustments pretty much set.

Yea, I forgot to put air in my tires before driving the 30 miles to BOS.. man, 23/24 air pressure makes for a wierd and mushy ride on the freeway.
