67 galaxie wheel width question

just checked in at the newb counter. and already have a question.

whats the widest 18" wheel/tire that will fit on the rear of a non-mini tubbed 67 galaxie.

any help is appreciated.

Welcome to the board. While I don't know the answer to your question, there are several Galaxie builds on this site that you may be able to reference and/or discuss with the owners regarding their builds. I found and listed several below from a quick search of the project build threads.

Tobin is right. There is no better resource than people who have already been there. This link http://rushforthwheels.com/pdf/Fitment.pdf will help you visualize the inside of your wheelwells and specifically the type of info we need from you. In particular, the distance from your mounting surface to your first inner and outer obstructions being the main factors.
