Alright, ill get straight to it. I have a 69 Camaro and it needs new springs, definately in the rear - main leaf on driver's side is bent, but im probably going to do all around. Now, im thinking about lowering it a little bit. Im still not sold on the idea completely, but its something ive been thinking about doing for a while now and since i need new springs anyway, i figure why not.

I was looking at the Hotchkis leaf spring kit(1-1/2" drop) for the rear and their sport spring kit(2" drop) for the front. The wheels and tires I have on the car are 15x8 American Racing Torq Thrusts at all 4 corners with BFGoodrich Radial T/A P215s on the front and P255s on the rear. Would I have to modify anything else for this to fit the car? Im also looking for a little better handling, but dont want(well not really that I dont want to, more like I cant really afford to) to do anything too drastic, not yet at least. Any suggestions as to what I should do or if I should look at another company for the springs?

Chris, welcome. If you do a search you will find so much information your head will explode. Be careful because the pro-touring bug bite hard.

You are on the right track with a budget minded upgrade. I would add better shocks and the Hotchkis front sta-bar. The next step would be 17" or 18" rims and disc brakes. Throw in the Guldstand mod, search if you want the lowdown on that, on your have a sound base.
