A semi-riced thirdgen. What a shame. Those taillights could have been updated/graded with a later model version atleast. Good luck with it. Just not my flavor.

Remember that this car is being built for a young man, who appreciates more of the modern in things than some of us do. I would not do the same wing, but it may be fine for the performance goals as well as the intended driver's desires. I would bet that both of my sons would like this car more than other versions of it, so that being said I think it is another fine example of PT diversity as well as craftsmanship from the Schwartz shop.

Yeah, we have to remeber it is a youngster, so he is probably influenced by peers a bit. Lets just be happy he is building a muscle car. I had to build a Eclipse with the oldest and a Integra for the middle one, YUCK!

Jeff, I know you are lovin this father son project, hold on as long as you can.

i think its very fitting for the theme. the use of C5 rims keeps cost down while still having a large rim. good choice. good luck on making it to the car craft show. did you make your power goals? how much nitrous is running through the engine?

Maybe its not your flavor, because it wasn't built by you?

A bit of an oxymoron there.

Sorry I didn't pat him on the back right away. A little critique isn't allowed? I said "good luck" in the end.

"Good luck...Isn't my flavor" = 'To each his own/As long as you're happy'

Always good to see projects that are at least in part built by the would be owner. I wish I had the opprtunity to work on a car with my father when I was younger. He was much too busy with his aircraft business at the time however.

Good luck with the project.

Raptor Pilot,
The only reason you were attacked is because you might not have read the top of the page that has the car on it. It is easy to look at just pics and not see why a car was built. If you had read this from that page you might have thought twice about your original post. The same goes for what Yody posted too.

Purpose:
To showcase the current young generation's tuner styling ideas in a traditional rear wheel drive ponycar platform.

Combining "Tuner" and "Pro Touring, G Machine" build methodology with an emphasis on overall performance

Keep in mind this is a father son project. I cant even imagine how cool that would be to have a car like this at his age!!! ANd his dad is there to help with the build. Im very jealous. I bet Dale is soo excited. :attn:

I think the car is badass. I bet alot of people will think its all show and no go. Thats a badass car!!!!

It will be hillarious when someone calls Dale's car "rice" and he shows them the taillights quickly. That wing kind of makes the car a sleeper, since 99.9% of the other imports out there with wings are dog slow.

i'm 18, and for the life of me i cannot understand any of this "tuner" style...but, i will say this: there is absolutely nothing cooler than building up a car with your dad, so frankly it doesn't matter one bit what the finished project looks like or what i think of it.

truthfully, i dont like the car, but i do like the drivetrain and the memories and effort behind it. well actually, i do like the car. the only things that irk me are the wheels and wing, and heck at least his car might actually benefit from a little downforce, unlike all the front wheel drive ricers out there...

bravo, good sir.

I did read the objective before I posted. My opinion remains unchanged, and I'm allowed to have that. I didn't feel "attacked". I've seen worse.

The part I didn't catch, but 100% appreciate is the fact that it is a father/son project. That is an irreplaceable, priceless set of memories right there building a car together. I'm getting my father in on my '70 build-up right now. I'm 30, he's 63. Good times.

Like I said before- Good luck, and enjoy it.

Glad you didn't feel attacked. It was just a little fun :enguard: .

We are all entitled to our opinions. I still hear it from the Pontiac purists about my engine.

You should really change to a two tone black/red interior with that paint scheme. Hawk's will set you up. http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/

Not my style with the wing, but otherwise it's a pretty hot looking 3rd gen with the go to match/exceed the show!
