Lugcentric wheels-lugnut OD vs wheel ID

So what do amount do most wheels that are lugcentric have larger than the lugnuts ? My ProStars are about 0.015. Figure you would need some for the variation in bolt circles between the wheel and hib and if the studs are not quite perpendicular.

I don't understanding what are you measuring...are you referring to the conical seating surface of the lug nut versus the machined seat in the wheel? If so, then it will depend on the wheels and/or the lug nuts as they're not all the same.

Wheel ID? Most of the wheel stud holes in aftermarket alloy wheels seem to measure about .600" to .625" diameter so long as they're not sized for 5/8" wheel studs. The 60 degree countersink depth varies, however it's not all that critical so long as the contact area is large enough to keep the contact stresses below the material yield strength. Similarly, the contact surface of the lug nut is almost irrelevant considering that the wheel contact surface is generally smaller.

      Tobin,

I think he is asking what is the hole diameter on lugcentric wheels (shank style lugnuts) and the diameter of the lugnuts.

Bryce...thanks. That would make more sense that it would be a shank style mag lug nut. I'm not sure what the tolerances those are typically machined to and don't have any wheels to check, sorry.
