The cost of a custom interior?

I was curious how much the custom interiors by our sponsers can range on a convertible A-Body? I while I know it has to be a more than an OEM job but by how much.

Also do any companies have custom interior panels and MATCHING front and rear seats that will bolt in?

I am located in northern NJ. Any good shops around that will not want my first born as a downpayment?

$6,000 to $11,000 in leather depending on shop and level of work that you desire

Would that include dash and gauges? And how much cheaper would be a good vinyl?

I can only imagine that you are paying for labor, not materials, so leather vs vinyl might not make much difference. The downside (IMO, of course) to most custom jobs is that in 5 years they look dated and you're that guy who spent $$$ on some corny looking trim pieces. That being said this stuff looks good, at least for now https://www.pro-touring.com/showthre...-interior-pics

Materials are a big part of the cost of a job if using leather. Leather can range anywhere between $5 dollars a sq ft to $35. There are roughly 18 sq ft to a standard fabric yard. The average set of front and back seats takes between 8-10 yards of material.

That being said you could end up anywhere between $720 to 6300 in leather alone just to do the front and back seat.

If you are looking to have something done or looking for any seats shoot me an email. Even if you dont buy anything from me i can make sure you dont get ripped off somewhere else.

OMG! I dont know where your getting your leather from but if you are paying that much per sq ft for leather then we definately should talk!! I own an ACTUAL running leather tannery and can supply you and other shops with leather for a much better price than that! I sell on a large commercial end ( 10,000 to 1 million sq ft runs) but have contemplated starting a side business selling upholstery shop quanitites at a price where I can make some money and you can save a boat load on price.. Maybe we should talk??

that is a ridiculous price, i would put our work up against anyone out there and we would never charge half of that. If somebody quotes you 20k to do your interior turn around and walk out the door.

Sounds good, just lmk if you have any questions.

Also if you do end up having trouble finding someone local 99% of our business is out of state, and prob 70% on the east coast. We have very affordable shipping options as well. We can ship two front Recaros and a rear seat from WA to FL for under $200.

We are currently doing a 100% complete custom interior for a customer with custom panels, dash, and so on that i can post pictures of as we go along. Long story short i know what im talking about when i say you should never pay 20k to have your interior done unless you are doing a bus or motorhome.
Before you get too cocky over your work and cutting down shops that charge over 20K I suggest you look up Recovery Room interiors and compare it to the pics you posted above.

Here I added a link for you.
