I need a little advice on wire layout

[1970 TT Rustang]

So i got a 70 mustang iam redoing all the wiring front to back, i started in the rear. So my question is i have an airride set up in the back and i wanted to know if its ok to run the wires under the carpet and sleve them next to the sill plate up to the control unit under the dash . The only reason i want to do this is because the sill plate is filled on the drivers side with the factory wiring and the wires wont reach the pass side. Also i not running any large gauge lines from the battery under the carpet for feeds.
