      Opinions wanted

So I am currently building a 69 Camaro. I could hit you with a ton of pictures but its not anything we've never seen before.

      In a nutshell;
      - air ride Technologies tubular control arms & drop spindle
      - DSE Tru - Turn system (not yet purchased, is it worth it for performance gains?) I could run up to a 10" wheel with tru turn system but that is too much meat up front in my opinion.
      - air ride Technologies shockwave bag system. (Ride height will be low!)
      - Rear Fabricated frame rails
      - DSE 4-link
      - Narrowed rear end
      - LS powered
      - Custom interior but nothing over the top will retain stock appearance for the most part.
      - 18x8.5" wheels up front and 18x12" wheels in the back. Preferrably brushed finish with the possibility of a polished hoop.
      - Car will be painted either jet black or metallic black and possibly a blue hockey stick stripe.

The goal: Build a badass reliable, fast, well performing street car capable of going into some local shows as well. The key here is to be subtle but radical all at the same time lol.

The next step of my project requires getting the new wheels and tires here and I am having a hard time making up my mind with what I want. I know I want some brushed billets with maybe a polished lip and I have it narrowed down to 3 different wheel choices from Raceline. Ive been lurking around on this site for months and have learned TONS of valuable information as far as wheel size capabilities and etc...

Basically, the first intention of this post is to get a bunch of different opinions on the following key points. I will post a picture of a friends car that I am in love with and I am basically going in the same direction with mine. Except for I am going for a bigger rear lip and mine will be lower than his car in that picture. (He raised it for a cross country trip, only photo I have) I will also post pictures of the wheels I am looking at.

      - Which of these wheels do you think would "look" the best on the car. I have no photoshop capabillities otherwise I would have done it by now, Ive done some heinous renderings with Microsoft paint and it was not in any way realistic.
      - I like the brushed finish although it becomes over bearing when the hoop is brushed as well. So the answer is a polished hoop but my understanding is that polished billlett is an absolute pain in the ass to take care of.
      - Finally backspacing; I was told by Air Ride Tech that I could run a 4.87" backspace in the front with a 18x8.5 with my current components. The rear wheel is where I am lost, because I believe that there is such thing as too much lip and the minimum bs on the wheels I want is 4.25" that would give me nearly 7" of lip. Thats alot when you only have 3.5" of lip up front. SO, whats a good backspace number? Maybe 5.25" which would give me about 6" of lip? The wheels will be built to my spec so I have the ability to determine the backspacing. Anyone with experience in that area please give me your input I dont want to drop nearly 4k for wheels and tires and theyre not the stance I was going for.

That is the set I was leaning towards the most, I was about to order them this week but I have only seen those wheels on trucks so I am just nervous about throwing them on the camaro, that is why I decided to post up on here and see what kind of feed back I could get. If I were to get those I think I would get them fully brushed.

The lip is a bit obnoxious in this pic but it gives you an idea.

So #2 it is! Does anyone have any experience with brushed billetts? If I am not mistaken they dont come clear coated it is something that you would have to request but I have heard that they could possibly yellow? Any input would be appreciated.

Most all brushed wheels come clear coated, (my experience). I would check directly with the manufacturer though.

With an old car I prefer a timeless 5-spoke. Not anything too busy, the wheels need to age with the car...

Still searching for the perfect wheel. Heres some other wheels I am entertaining. If anyone has photoshop please feel free to get down on some wheels on a black 69 for me! These below are some Boyds and CCWs, the Boyds are a little out of my price range but I do like them alot.... This has gotta be the hardest decision yet for the car.

So I pretty much fell in love with these wheels, not really sure why because it's not too different from any other split 5 spoke. But the 20% off sale ends tomorrow (9/15) so being that they are already a little more than I wanted to spend on wheels I feel like it is a pretty good deal, especially being 3 pc custom built wheels... Soooo I am calling Jon up tomorrow to make the purchase! I hope they look as good as I am envisioning them to be, I think they're going to look badass housing the Baer 14" rotors. I will be ordering them in a 18x8.5 and 19x12, I spoke to Jon today for a while about the Newgen company as well as the fitment on my car and he was extremely knowledgable and had lots of good information to share. It is reassuring to be dealing with someone who is familiar with the application and requirements.

What are you guys running for backspacing on the front wheels to get the biggest lip possible? I have the oem front clip with ridetech upper / lower control arms and drop spindles.

Exactly. The way I feel about it is do it once, do it right, and never have to look back and think twice about it.

@Punisher.. I had the same thought and when I was searching for wheels I liked the idea of finding a wheel similar to the vette wheel but with a lip instead of the flush face and I would say this wheel is about as close as it gets to that!
