Well not Pro-Touring but certainly Pro-Cruising. I'd like to use 4 matching buckets - there is the standard Suburban seats but it would also be nice if the rear seats would swivel - am I out of luck except maybe for some RV type Captain seats? Looking for suggestions - I know many of you guys out there are much more knowledgeable and up to date on what might be available. Thanks. -Bob

Some of the '73-'77 A-bodies came with swivel buckets...they look Captain's Chair-ish, but don't sit so high. If you're not concerned about lateral support, and don't mind older seats, 2 sets of '63-'64 Impala buckets would work well, or if you want someting a little smaller with a similar look, use Corvair seats. Unless you are going for a vintage look, though, I'd probably use bucket seats from a later luxury 2 door (since the backs fold down), like possibly a late 90s Buick Riviera, or an Eldorado.

perhaps just take buckets you like and set them on a swivel base?

Joe - weren't some of those called Strato buckets? Little concerned the Corvair seats might get swallowed up in that Panel and not look right. I'll search and see how the others might look in there but they may be a lot harder to find. Tom - good thought, not sure how well I could pull that off.
Maybe I'll just stick to something later model and "over-stuffed" for comfort

The 64 Impala seats look really good in 50's cars IMO. Not much lateral support, but great for a pro-cruiser!

Those Impala seats do look good - I may have to consider them for my 55 Post Bel Air - would you have any pics with the door open? I'll probably build a center console but will run a column shift. What about something late-model - anything that stands out whether they swivel or not? One nice thing about late-model seats is the integral seat belt but I don't think that's a must - I think there are plenty of places to mount conventional 3-point seat belts.
Here is an old pic of the Panel:

Ive seen Silverado seats without the headrest in a big 50's truck that looked pretty good. Integral seatbelt too.
