polarized distributor shaft?
I put a new complete kit MSD distributor with box and coil in my sons 1990 5.0 mustang and it just didn't seem to be running right, so i dropped it off at a local shop who can run a diagnostic on it, they called me back today and said that when the motor hits about 2k rpm the timing starts to retard itself not advance properly, he then explained that he has seen this before when the shaft of the distributor is "polarized" and it throws everything off. I have never heard of this any idea if this is accurate?
