Anyone seen these style of wheels on a first gen camaro. They are 17/18. they are not my favorite wheel but i need something to clear a some big brakes because the 15in weld racing wont. Im just wondering how theyd look and i can get them cheap.

...a picture might help. There's plenty of people that have run C4, C5, and even C6 vette wheels on first gen Camaros.

They will clear your brakes but require huge spacers because of the disparity in offsets. Some people love them because they're modern and some people hate them because they make cars look front wheel drive. It's your car so it's your call but it isn't a straight bolt on and spacers that size are a bit of a band-aid.

You can get a set of C5 wheels and spacers for about the cost of one aftermarket wheel. Sure, aftermarket wheels offer more choices and are clearly more custom, but if you need wheels on a small budget, the C5 wheels and spacers are a great option.

As for the spacers, I autocrossed, tracked and put about 25,000 miles on the car above using bolt-on billet spacers with absolutely no issues.

Wasn't trying to step on toes, but it's an undeniable fact that most people prefer a dish of some kind and I get calls all the time from people begging to get a dish on their late model cars.

Spacers are somewhat of a bandaid. Adapters, I see no problem with.

I like the look plus u can get these on Craigslist for around $1000 with tires!!

The wheels are very plain but i cant find on craigslist in my area that I like or will fit. there a decent deal on c6 wheels but the front are 18x9 and front what ive read on a 69 with stock sub a 8inch is about as wide as id need to go. If i went with a 9inch wide front tire would there be slight rubbing or major?

Wagon wheels like the ones pictured are the most economical C5-C6 wheel and tire set to buy, chrome ones with tires would be 350-450 range and painted even less than that. keep an eye on craiglist, I've bought 2 sets from there. another place I've bought a few things was the corvette forum

Not sure on the exact dimensions and backspacing on those wheels, but worst case scenario is the wheels would hit the frame before you got to full lock, so you'd lose a bit of turning diameter. I have that problem with my BMW wheels, but I'm planning on just notching the frame a bit to make up for it. I only paid $300 for my wheels and tires, so even after I buy the welder and the metal to add to the frame, I'm still saving money over buying a new set of wheels.

I personally like the late model factory wheel look. It makes you think GM Performance may have built it.

Go for the vette wheels and don't look back. I run z06 wheels on my chevelle with spacers and they work great. You can also find replica wheels cheap and aftermarket wheels for BMWs fairly cheap. Check out Tsw wheels.

I am using 2" adapters in front and no rubbing with 235-45-17's. I need 2 5/16" in the rear with 275-40-18's and I can get a little rub on the driver's side over a bump if the suspension is loaded. I have DSE shock plates and I also need the space for the wheels to clear those plates. I still have drums on the back so the spacing may be different if you have a disk brake setup. I bought the cheapest billet adapters i could find knowing that they would be of limited use while I worked out the spacing as I got the car lower. I have an assortment of spacers from the local parts stores that used to get to the magic 2 5/16" for my fitment. My rear end doesn't sit perfectly centered so the passenger side has a bit more clearance than the driver's side.
