      Who runs Nitto NT05's?

Are they performing ok? Mostly concerned with cornering performance.

I think you'll find that they get great reviews. I have a pair on the rear of my 68. They definitely hook better than anything else I've used. I"m also not that great of a driver so take my opinion FWIW.

I like mine. Ran them new at Willow Springs and performed very well. Haven't autocrossed them yet. They look better than the Kuhmo's on my Firebird.

LOVE THEM. Best tire for the buck, no funky tread pattern, just all out performance, and meets the 180 and up UTQG requirement:

They perform very well. I just wished they lasted longer. Someone told me recently that they start out at 7/32 of tread versus the more typical 9-10/32 of tread depth. I've never investigated if that is true. Maybe Jon from Driverz or someone else with lots of tire know how will chime in on that.

i think im going to put some on my daily driver, because it definatley needs the traction i just hope i can get about 15,000 miles out of them. any experiance towards how fast they wearout.
measured the tread depth on my project cars nto5's the 285 35 18's /335 30 19's averaged any where from .234-.248 so between 7/32-8/32

I would think you can get close to 15K if 100% street miles and depending on the car. I've gone through three sets in the front of my camaro and am halfway through my 2nd set on the rears.

On the front the first set lasted about 5-6k (1 track day and 1 run to the coast) miles. 2nd set lasted about 1-2k miles (multiple track days and RTTC 2) and the 3rd set lasted about 500 miles of which ~200+ miles on the track (3 track days).

darn that sucks i daily drive the car but also run it on a lot of mountain runs and time attacks/autocrosses and was was hoping to get better tires. current tires are toyo proxes 4 and they've lasted a good 25,000 miles driving like this but lack the traction i want.

There's the trade off... There really isn't a magic bullet for grip and tire-wear. Current technology can't give you both.

I think DriverzInc means 200 and up UTQG requirement. I know my 180 Kumho XS tires placed me in the "Outlaw" class a RTMC.
