Has anyone gone with a blower setup such as a Kenny Bell Roots style or anything else for an LSX?
I started entertaining the possibility of a blower.

They're all over LS1Tech. Many say the LSX block is a better candidate for boosted applications...

This is the hottest thing going in Blowers for LS. This is a special MaganCharger combined with a special modified version of our popular Wegner front drive. The very best for many reasons all related to belt type, belt routing, belt wrap. The blower is driven by it's own 10 Rib belt with over 180 degrees of belt wrap which prevents hated belt slippage commonly associated with blowers. Especially important in blower cars that are autocrossed and road raced with quick on and off the gas situations.
When you combine the OEM quality of MagnaCharger the the very best front drive, it is the clear winner.

Thanks for the info as I'll need to do a bit more research.
Frank I have a L92 motor, Texas Speed Cam, LS3 Intake which won't be needed, Corvette accessories and the Vintage Air/Quick coonect I purchased from you. Will I need accessories be needed as well if I go down this route?
Based on the accessories and the L92 heads are there other bloweres that would also work?
Thanks!

What made you change directions away from a KB? I had the KB 2.8H on my Saleen Cobra that was a moster of a blower.

I changed direction because of the computer tunning. I am using a carbed set up now with a blow through. Very simple set up using the MSD 6010 box that controls the ignition, cam, crank, tunning.

I'm doing a mild setup with a Vortech T-trim. LS2 bottom end (stock) with LS3 heads and a custom cam. Blower bracket is for a Corvette, with Corvette accessory drive. Still got a way to go....

I have the L92 heads on mine. Are the ports the same on a L92 and LS3? If so then I guess a Corvette setup would work.

Ok Frank.
How much?
Complete Blower and Drive System is $8800. Keep in mind the kit includes the front drive which includes A/C Compressor, Alternator, PS Pump, ATI Balancer.
We can also set up the MagnaCharger blower with LS3 Accessories but the net savings is not to much unless you already own the LS3 accessories

Yeah, exactly. L92 and LS3 heads are exactly the same except the valves are hollow on the LS3 and solid on the L92..

I already have a C5 accessory kit. My compressor is on a Kwik bracket. Would that work?

daytonayellaz,
No build thread for it. I should start one, but progress is kinda slow at the moment.

Here's my MP112 on a stock little LS1..runs well. I like the Magnacharger because of their track record for reliability. KB makes a nice unit too...just out of my budget for this build....lol. I chose a positive displacement blower for the low end torque. They make serious torque down low...IE...my stock LS1 has 425ft/lbs at 2500rpm. You do sacrifice a little on the top end though, but my car is a street car, not a race car so I was willing to compromise.

How hard is it to throw a magnacharger on an LS with the vintage air front runner...is there a need for an all new accessory drive system?

Best I know no one has combined the VA Front Runner and blower. Belt line spacing is slightly different, there are idlers and tensions to work into the system. I suspect it could be done but the R and D would be extensive.
The one thing (of many things) that is so wonderrful about the Wegner / Magna is the independant 10 rib drive for the blower. That would be very difficult with the bracket design of the VA Front Runner.
