M&H 325/45/17 Drag Radials
Is anyone currently running these tires? I know they are more for straight line then cornering but I'm considering going with a set of 17" AR500s (stock appearing Olds SSIs) with these drag radials and a 55 sidewall front tire to keep things balanced. This would be more of an old school look with sidewalls and custom raised white letters added.
I would go back to my 15" Olds SSIs but I have the big 13" rotors on the front now and need at least a 17 to fit around them.
I'm considering:
17x8 front with a 225/55/17 BFG Traction TA (225 is smaller than I wanted but hoping the 8" rim will make up for a little of the lack of size (245 would be better)). Need a specific tire look and height to make this work and my options were limited.
17x 9.5 rear with the 325/45/17 M&H Drag radials.

...except with 17" SSIs so I can keep the bigger rotors.
This pic has 275/60/15 BFG drag radials with painted on RWL and standard 245/60/15 BFG radial TAs on the frontJoe Lincoln

...not exactly a good looking tire but it has the raised black letters that I can paint and it's 17" and a good height (26.8"). I'll have to make a custom stencil for the rears to match. Will be a lot of work but I've converted back to the old school look and have to give this a try. The RWL have to be touched up every 2 to 3 weeks to keep them looking right too. Kind of a pain but that's the look I'm shooting for. We'll see how it turns out.Joe Lincoln
