The more I shop for rims I see a hug gap in cost between the 17x9-9.5 wheels and 17x11's. I have a wheel picked out that I like but widest it's available is 9.5. Anybody have wheels widened and what cost would I expect to pay?

Do we have a connection / good resource for widening a wheel?

Thanks!!!

I had a pair of 17" '96 Impala SS wheels widened in CA several years ago by a guy Eric Vaughn 626-358-6413, was $250 per wheel. He cut the back half off the wheel and welded a deeper generic back half to it. Worked great.

Hey Ben, if you do Weldcraft you can have the wheels shipped to me via Greyhound. They are 20min from my house and I have seen their work when I dropped off a repair.

I can vouch for Weldcraft...they have narrowed a couple of pairs of front wheels for me.
