79 firebird wheel fitment
I am currently building a 79 firebird the car will have dse mini tubs with a dse quadralink but the car still has the orginial width rearend housing in it I would like to fit a 335 18 on the rear does anyone know what kind of backspaceing I would need on a 18x12 wheel to fit on the rear?

that would depend on what you narrow the rear to. If you use DSE recomended width they suggest 5.5 but based upon the one I just did, I would prefer 6". the camaro quarter is slightly wider than the firebird. You will also need 4" stroke shocks to get the car to sit right since the firebird quarter opening in taller than a camaro
