Has anyone used a trans cooler similar to this:

I was wondering if they actually work efficiently. I plan on running one in-line with my factory radiator cooler.

A lot of 30's hot rodders use those and put them under the car on a frame rail because of the limited engine compartment space. Maybe post the question on the HAMB or a street rod forum I'll bet you'll find some feedback there.

I think you would be fine with it as long as you are still using your factory rad. cooler. I dont know how well they work though as a stand alone cooler,I wouldnt feel safe anyways.

efficiently, is not what those are, stack plate or finned work the best those tube ones work well as an additional cooler if that's you're primary cooler it should be a double pass and about 15" or longer

I had one similar and installed it in the inner fender well the trans temp was at 200+ i got rid of it and put a 18 x 9.5 Hayden in front of the radiator now its 150 to 180 if your auto crossing your car i don't suggest it.
