My 67/LS1 didnt have air. I used the stock heater box. Ran the hoses from the LS water pump to the heater box. Worked great.

My '67 Firebird is a non-A/C car, did the same as Z06vet, just hooked up the hoses to the heater core when I installed the LS2. Works great.

Living in the Netherlands, you def. need heat. I also just used the stock heater box and it works great. I used Hooker mounting plates so the engine is set back pretty far which makes a tight fit for the hoses but it can be done.

Later I found out it's also possible to turn the heater core (I believe) 90 degrees and have the in/outlet facing downwards making for an easier fit. Obviously you have to work the outside box a bit but I would recommend it.

You can also use a big block heater box, the hoses are more towards the fender side

Mine looks extremly tight to run heater lines off the core. I do have taller valve covers which makes it worse.

Would like to see some photos of the heater hose routing with LS motor. Anybody got any? Also what did you use to hook them into the water pump?
