Okay, I did some searching and research but thought I'd ask to see if anyone had tried this. I found some sharp BMW wheels online for cheap:

Rare BMW X5 high performance offset tires and wheels. Great Shape besides a little bit of peeling on the inside if you look closely. Tire sizes -- front - 255/50 R 19 ---- rear - 285/45 R 19 V

I'm wondering if they'll work on my 81 Trans Am with stock breaks, etc. I realize I'll have to go grab them and try it but ya' never know. Someone may know an X5 or a 19 inch combo won't work and save me some time.

Thanks,
Paine

Not sure about the offset on the X5 wheels. The tires are going to be pretty big around with a 19 inch diameter and 45/50 sidewall height.

there are several threads on BMW wheels here...do a search. Dont think the BS on the X5 wheels works for most. For my 2nd gen it was the 5 & 7 series wheels that work. You'll need the hubcentric rings, and MAKE SURE the hub size is the correct one. One of my previous posts has all this info.....I have the Rondal BMW wheels going on my 2nd gen bird
