Wheel Choice for 4th Gen Camaro

Here are the guidelines/limits:
CAR 2002 Camaro SS (see sig)
-Must be OE style wheel d/t price (this includes the new C6 Grand sport wheel)

-Open to 17 or 18" wheels
-Lowered on strano springs/Koni's
-Stock calipers right now
-Prefer not to run spacers
-Must be a 200 + treadwear tire
-No tubs or mini tubs
-I am willing to run a larger front setup for competition and downsize fronts (and rears?) for the street

I would love to run the lightest style of OE wheels (if anyone has input on weights), and I would prefer to run this same wheel/tire for street and track (since I'm 200+ treadwear anyway)...I am planning on using the new Nitto NT05. Like I said, I am not opposed to running a larger tire upfront for competition and staggard on the street FWIW.

The NT05's come in the following sizes that I would consider: 275/40 17, 315/35 17, 275/40 18, 295/35 18

I had black chrome C6 Z06 wheels on my 99 SS. Fronts were 17's and 18's on the rear. I used Toyo RA1 for a tire.

How are those working for you in competition size wise (balance, understeer etc)? Have you thought about doing 295's up front or does it work well as it?

I have always liked the C5 deep dish or the C6 Z06 deep dish.

With 190K on stock suspenison its kinda hard to tell.

But on street driving, its great.

shr3trinity, I'm running the C5 ZO6 OE wheels on my 01 WS6, 275/35/18 18x9.5 frt, 295/35/18 18x10.5 rear BFG KDW II. I've ran this setup for 4 years while stationed in Germany, numours laps at the Hockenhiem ring, 2 King of the Hill (auto-x, road course, 1/4mi) wins, and over 30k autobahn miles without an issues. No wheel spacers and they clear my Stoptech frt brakes, I did have a slight rub on the inner seatbelt buldge reat but it was just enought to take the undercoating off when I auto-x'd it. The balance is awesome no understeer but I have the complete LG Motorsports G-2 suspension under it. She's very predictable, the tires let you know when they've reached their limits. Hope this helps

C5 Magnesium wheels, pretty damn light. I am running the typical spacers for oem vette wheels and had to roll the rear fender lip to fit 275s.
