Roll pin remove from steering shaft?

How do you do it? Everyone says hammer it out with a punch, but that sh!+ doesn't budge. Sprayed it with penetrant,let it soak, sprayed it again, hammered some more, still doesn't even move. I hit it hard too. Then I missed the punch and smashed my finger and nearly popped it like a grape.


I just want to remove the whole column so I can work on the floor and firewall.

Any suggestions?
