As I have reading in this thread about GW suspension which I will do for my suspension on my Ventura.I also read about DSE sub frame connectors for my car which I like their connectors too.Which sub frame bushing would be best DSE or GW? I want to keep the body at stock height on the frame. Am I going about this wrong? I just read about 1st Gen mods, since my car is stock should I do these mods first before investing in GW?
Thanks,Clifford

They are almost identical. One is blue, one is black. Both will do the same thing.

Which "Mods" are you talking about? If you go the DSE route, are you going to fully weld the subframe connectors or bolt them at the front?

Fully weld I also want to put a 4 point roll bar in at the same time. Would that hurt anything?

Just wondering which mods since you want the aftermarket upeers and both DSE and GW don't recommend doing the Guldstrand mod with their uppers.
The cage won't hurt anything in fact if everything (Subfrrame conectors) is welded and solid bushings are used it will add more strength to your chassis.

On the suspension which would be best using the Guldstrand mods only or GW? This is going to be driven everyday. Thanks for all the help.

Do both. Really the only part of the front geometry any aftermarket arm changes is the amount of static caster that can be dialed in. The arms are slightly longer than stock so it has a slight affect on camber gain and roll camber.
The Guldstand mod does wonders to the overall front geometry of that chassis.

So if I can do both I will order the guldstrand catalog and do that first then the GW later thanks everybody :headbang:

I called GW today and they said don't do guldstrand mods if I plan to use their suspension set up so I will wait and save up while I'm getting better to start buying parts that I will need. Thanks everyone:git:

If you look at David Pozzi's site he has tons of suspension info and he will also tell you that even though global west says you dont need the G-mod with there arms that it will only help. Ecspecially if your gonna take it on a track, of course your tires will wear quicker with both mods done.

I won't be driving it on the track for now,I lost alot of those skills over 25 years ago but I can get them back with practice but doubt I will be able to do that for now I just want a car that will out handle most new cars and give the vettes a run for the money. But if I have surgery (bypass) the racing part will never happen I think.

Curious? I have heard that, but fail to understand why. Any aftermarket arm desinged for the first gens add caster, but do not do much if anything for roll center height and camber gain. That is what the Guldstand mod will do for you.

I thought they would work well together but couldn't get a explanation, the guy at GW sounded like he didn't want to talk unless a sale was made on the spot.

I have GW arms and did the Guld mod, when I spoke to (steve?) down at GW quite a while ago he said it was a good Idea since I intended to autocross. SS

I have heard GW only recommends the Guldstrand mod for guys who will autocross or open track their cars. The street only guys they just recommend the arms alone. The Guldstrand mod will give you a bit more cornering power at the front but at the price of more tire wear, - how much wear I couldn't say.

DSE has a group purchase going on thru 1 of its resellers
GW does not
(hint to GW)

Well I won't be racing just want better handling so I guess it will have to be one or the other prices for GW isn't bad especially for the type of car I have I will have a few days in the hospital to think about it
