This sounds high, but the seating torque for a 1/2-20 alloy steal SHCS is 170 foot pounds.

I have always seen 1/2" studs/aluminum wheels at75-85 ft lbs.

Are you looking for the torque to tighten lug nuts or the torque when installing the studs in the axles? If it's the install in the axle torque, then 85 lb/ft is what was recommended by Strange when I assembled my SS axles.

I just loctite them and tighten as tight as I can with allen wrench. Those things can't come out, so I just want to make sure I don't have problems pulling the wheels off.

Wilwood says 77ft/lbs for the studs in their 14" brake setup, if that means anything.

+1 for the loctite. It gets annoying as all hell when those things back out.
