      New wheels?

I have had this car for about ten years now and has went through several different looks. I got the car where I am very happy with the way yhe car looks. The wheels were powder coated and I am not sure I like the final look of them. So I am thinking of some wheel options for the car. Rushforth's I talked to Jason at Ft Worth Goodguys very nice. Also like the Newgen wheels aswell. The only thing about black wheels the center of the wheel kinda gets lost. Just would like some input. Thanks

Car looks great like it is! I believe if I was going to change I would go with something with a brushed center and chrome lip. I agree with an all black wheel the centers do tend to get lost.

      You have an awesome car!!!
I don't want to offend anybody, but I do not like black wheels.
(They do get lost and in my opinion look smaller than a polished/bright wheel as they "blend" with the tire visually)
I think a color matched center (silver) with a polished hoop would look alot better!

what about adding silver to your current wheel? Maybe paint the barrell same color as the car?

How about just adding a simple red pinstripe around the lip of the rim near the bead of the tire?

Wow all great ideas. The wheels had a painted grey center with a polished hoop before they were coated. I did not like the center to have a high gloss.

If you decide to sell your wheels let me know, saw your car at the GG's and loved it. The Racelines are exactly what I want for my falcon and yours validated to me they look great in black. If the backspacing works for my falcon up front (rear is not an issue as I can make the axle any length) you have an interested buyer, and I am local, sort of.

Otherwise I say keep it as is, it looks mean.

However long you think your project will take, double it and you might be halfway right.

I am going to swap the wheels off my Fairlane this weekend just to see how the 18" Magnums look.

There was a silver 69/70 Fastback around here that had 18" Magnums on it. It eventually ended up at ridetech:

These would look good with black powder center and polished outers.

How much to re-powder coat them? You could do a body color or gun metal and the centers wouldn't get lost.

I am in the "wouldn't change a thing" club. I am a huge fan of both New Gens and Rushforths and you couldn't go wrong with any of their wheels, but those wheels look awesome on the car. Great stance too.
