Help me pick wheel for my Bullitt!

I have some spare cash burning a hole in my pocket. I've spent enough of it on the El Camino and want to shell out some of it to give the daily driver some more attitude via wheels and tires.

      This is the car...

Option one is the usual deep dish rear wheels and 315/35 tires. This would look great - I did the same to the first Bullitt I had and loved it.

Problems with doing the above....mismatched tires (not a big deal), lots of other Mustangs out there with the same combination. All 4 wheels have seen better days and are showing their age with paint chips and clearcoat flaking so it would be nice to have a whole new set instead of just replacing two. On the other hand, I'd keep the old rear wheels/tires because the tires are still in good shape and after I wear the current fronts out on a track day or two, the old rears can be swapped on.

Option two...going with a different set all around. I thought about the FR500 wheels (if anyone is familiar) but ruled them out. My other favorite Mustang wheel is the 10th anniversary Cobra wheel. This would cost a good bit more, but I would then sell my stock wheels with good tires to recoup the difference - so cost isn't an issue. I don't see many cars running around with these wheels either.

I'm having trouble on which trigger to pull. I've casually thought about this since I bought the car and still can't decide. If I go with the deep dish Bullitts, then I fear I'll think I took the easy way out. But if I go with the Anniversary wheels I fear I won't like them as much.

What I want to know is which one do you like better? Thanks in advance!

      Yeah.....I like them too. I don't know!

This is a way-too-small picture of the anniversary wheels, and not deep dish out back but it gives an idea on a Bullitt

Here they are on a standard GT

If it helps anyone lean any which way, I'm planning on taking this car to many a track day in the future and a road-racing inspired wheel would be very fitting, which is why I'm pushing away from keeping the Bullitt wheels.

I chickened out and went with Option 1. It was also the more financially responsible thing to do! Plus I ordered a sequential tail light kit, and then found a discount code that knocked off 6%, so I've still got money to pay that car insurance bill

Those look nice. I have a buddy with that era Mustang and I have been trying to talk him into getting a dished set for the back the last two times he has put tires on.

Those look great! What are you doing for a spare? The reason I ask is that I've got 275/35/19s on the front and 275/40/19s on the rear of my '07 Parnelli, and with 14" Frt brakes the inflatable won't fit. I was at RTMC and killed my left front tire and wheel, and with no spare , I was almost stranded. Jason Childress and the great Gateway Classic Mustang guys saved me from an extended stay in Nashville. Anyway I'm gonna get some 18"ers, and try to run the same tires all the way around and then buy a 5th for a spare. What's your opinion? Thanks! Still learning.
