I hope this thread is in the right spot but I wasn't sure if it should be in this section, the interior section or in the stereo section seems how it kind of applies to all of them.
I have to take the window hardware out of my 56 Ford for service so I it seems like the best time to seal and sound deaden the inside of the door. I just spent an hour searching all the threads related to lizard skin and second skin etc. I swear there was a thread on sealing/painting the inside of the door first to prevent rust. There was some mention about spraying some 3M door sealer or something?? This is where I want too start but I can't seem to find the thread.
Would it be best to POR 15 the door to stop all future rust then add some second skin or dynamax product after? I have a box of dynamax pro I bought awhile ago so I need to use that first then I was going to do what ever is left with second skin products. If I didn't already have the dynomax I would just use all second skin after all the good revues I have read but it doesn't make sense not to use what I have first.
I live in south Louisiana so I am looking for both sound and thermal protection. A/C is in the works right now as well so I need to get cracking before the extreme summer heat hits.
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason
