Just thought I would share my console project. My car is an original console with gauge car, but not much use for the original gauges since I'm running a modern alternator and electronic overdrive transmission. I decided to run Autometer gauges and build a new console keeping as much of the look of the original console. I still have a quite a ways to go, but this is what I've gotten done so far. 464804647846479

I will be updating this soon. I haven't had time to mess with it lately. I ordered a Billet Specialties interior light to put in the rear of the console like the original 67 console is and I am working out, in my head right now, a way to install a fold out cup holder in the rear of the console. I hope to have this near completion within a couple weeks.

I'm still working on it, but have made progress on it. I'll post up a picture of it at the stage it is right now. I sidelined the console build for the installation of mini tubs, Ridetech suspension and now panel fitment. I do plan to get back on the console here soon though.

I want to bring my console build thread back from the dead as I have started back working on it. I made some gauge changes and so the gauge panel I had originally made for it has been scrapped. I will be placing 5 2 1/16" gauges in the forward part of the console, so that forced me to do a redesign of the gauge mounting.

I contracted Anders to do a CAD drawing and write it for my laserjet guy to cut out the panel. It incorporates 2 1/2" exhaust tubing set at a 45* angle that is clocked 30* towards the driver's side.

Here's what I have gotten done on it so far:
