rear of 1st gen not centered

ok. i have a 69 camaro. Still stock hieght. I put my new 17 x 10 and tires on it yesterday, and noticed that the rear is shifted about a 3/4" to the passenger side.

      Now, how to fix it?

Can i just take the leaf springs loose at the rear, and try to slide it over? I'm looking at the welded brackets and thinking this is not going to work.

      any suggestions are greatly appreciated..

      Mike

are you sure its the rearend? i know on A-body's the wheelwells vary side to side from 1/8 to 3/8" on never wrecked cars.

on a plus note.... if it is the rearend not being centered, if your gonna be cutting the perches loose..... its a great time to fine tune the pinion angle

Mike, 3rd-gen Novas are known for the same problem. In the past instead of cutting/re-welding the perches, I've had luck with swapping the leaf springs side-for-side. Might be worth a try.
