      Any recommendations for wheels?

I've gotten quite a bit of feedback about the wheels on my 69 Bird.

      http://firstgenfirebird.org/show/closeup.mv?CarID=642

The wheels on it are simply temporary.....had to get something cheap and fast to get the car rolling.

I know opinions are like ..... but what company and style is recommended for a mid level wheel....meaning NOT 2K plus just for the wheels.

      Thanks,

      Drew

      Opinion

Love your Firebird!!! I have a 72 Formula myself...

Opinion... mask off the crate (vert) part of your grills and spray
them flat black... looks much better than all silver IMHO.

Wheels... 18" grey centered American Racing CL205s can be beat
for the money! Same thing I ran into... sure I'd love to have some
19" CCW 505As on my car like Yodi has but when cost is a factor...
      SW/Streetking has the CL205 18s on his red 73 T/A and I love the
look!! Big wheels/wide tires and still retains the classic muscle car
look! For your car you could have the grey centers shot Champaigne
to match your car! I think that combo would look killer!

Newstalgia can mount/balance and ship the rims with BFG KDW2s
to your door for right around $2400!

Just my opinion... hope it helps...

      Drew,

I've been thinking about Intro Vistas for my bird.

      Intro Vista

The design mimicks the Poncho arrowhead a bit.

I like almost all of Intro Wheels. To help me decide I first went to SEMA 04 website. They have a section for wheel manf. and dealers. Alsmost all the compines have a web site to hook up to showing their rims. You also might want to check and see what I did with photoshop. See General Discussion Section: Rims are in for the GOAT! Hope this helps. Do not be afraid to spend time on this part of the project as it has a major effect on how the car will look.

Those are some SWEET wheels.....I prefer a split spoke design, though.

thanks for all the feedback guys.....I was leaning toward something from Budnik, but definitely need to keep my eyes open. I want "THE" right wheel.
