Will have it mini tubed but got a good deal on a 18x10 rear wheels. Have air ride and need them to tuck. What backspacing should I have?

Stock length rear end? And what tire do you plan on running? It will make a difference....

Yes Stock rear end. Tire size I'm open. The reason I'm asking is a got a great deal on some bonspeeds. 18x10 rears with 6.5 backspacing. I know that's a lot. I don't mind adding a 1/4 inch spacer but I don't want to run any more. Do you think that will work? By the way the front are 18x8 with 5 inch backspacing.

I have 5.5" of back spacing on the back of my 1968. At 5.5" I have less than .5" of clearance at the closest point of my 275/40/18 Kumho to my stock inner wheel tub. Since you are minitubbed you shouldn't have a problem fitting them under the car. I would just worry that they will be tucked to far under the car and look funny. If I were to reorder my rims today I would get them with 5.375-5.25 just so they would look so tucked.

I have a 68 and was going to use the stock width rear (60 1/2" rotor hat to rotor hat) with forgeline 18x11 with 7" Backspacing which left 5" Frontspacing. It would not fit, it was to wide. If you drop a plumb bob from inside of each 1/4 lip and measure mine was 69 1/2". With the stock width rear and 7" BS the OD of the entire rear with rims and tires was 71 3/8". I sent the rims back and had the BS changed to 5.5" and I will be narrowing the rear. With that said I have factory 1/4s on my car and the driver quarter is approx 1/2" tighter to the center of the car than the pass side. That is the same issue on my brother in laws 69 1/4s also. With your car on a stock rear 60 1/2" with 6.5" BS and 4.5" FS it should be 69 1/2" plus the extra section width from the tires add approx 3/4" so that puts you at 70 1/4" OD. Drop string lines down from the inside of you 1/4s and see what that dimension is so you will know. You will have to cut the lips and roll them. Hope this helps. Let us know.
