I currently have wilwood 2 piston disc brakes on all 4 corners and would like to upgrade the fronts with bigger calipers.

Here is what I am running now...

I would like to step up to these calipers.....

So my question is.....what do I need to purchase to make this work? Will the 6 piston calipers work with what I have, or will I need new discs, brackets, hubs....etc? I have no issues with using all my stuff but as said earlier, I would like to use the 6 piston dynapros.

I see that they have DynaPro 6 Piston Retro Fit Kits (http://www.hotrodsusa.com/store/product5673.html)available but am unsure they will work with what I have.

Thanks for the advice.

Can't help you with the brackets end of it. But I will caution you to work out your total piston bore math. The Wilwood 6 pistons are rather small and may offer even less stopping power than what you have now. Figure out the area of the circles and add them up, do the same with your current ones and compare them to what you have. Note that there are several piston size options so you may want to order the larger 1.62/1.38/1.38 sized ones.

I had the Dyna 2 pot and bolted on the 6 pot calipers with no other changes. Frank at Prodigy got me the right part number. I do wish I stepped up the rotor size though. 12" look small with my wheels.

Driverz Inc. (http://driverzinc.com/category/suspension-brakes/wilwood/)

Give Jon at Driverz Inc. a call, 1-866-694-5940. They can get you anything that Wilwood sells and figure out exactly what part #'s you need.

I plan on using them again when I upgrade my 12.19" Dyna-Lite's.

The 6 piston Dynapro work great. I have this set up on my Street Racer and stop on nearly 150MPH runs with ease where I used to sweat it badly with stock disc.

The caliper is a bolt on.

Since most of those rotors are only 0.81 thick does it really help much to go to a 6 piston caliper? I can see getting a larger pad for the calipers but with teh rotor thickness I would think diminishing returns on stopping improvement.

I have the DynaPro's on my 68 and love them. In fact, according to Frank, I got the very first set. It was a great alternative to the bigger more expensive Wilwood's - I got the bling and stopping power of the 6 piston setup with not much more expense over the Dynalite 12.19 setup. I am very pleased with mine and highly recommend Frank's recommendation. I can also confirm that the Dynapro caliper is a direct bolt-on swap from Dynalites with no modifications.

Just a quick note on the Dynapro 6 piston surface area in comparison to the Dynalite 4 piston surface area. Both calipers come in different piston sizes. The largest Dynapro 6 has 5.06 square inches of pison surface area and the largest Dyanlite 4 has 4.80 square inches of pison surface area.
