Tying to decide on wheels for a 1956 Bel Air. Intro Twisted Blade or Boyd Coddington Twisted Knoxville?

Thx Abs. I was gonna post for the newb how hard it would be to get opinions without links/pics. I voted a slight edge for the Intros, but there is no bad choice for the car in this poll. They're both similar, so maybe it boils down to personal choice!

Genuine Boyds because I am a dealer but Intro has a nice product as well. Remember that both wheel companies allow backspace increments of 1/8" so fitting your 56 should be relatively easy.

It's actually this Twisted Blade.

Here is my two cents. IF your are going for the twisted 5 spoke look then the Intro's nail it. The Boyds look as if you are unsure of running either torque thrusts or a twisted 5 spoke and made a compromise between the two. The Boyds look half baked.

If you want some honest opinions, you need to show a pic of the car (colors can make or break certain wheels) and then you need to either find a pic or describe as best you can the finish you will put on the wheels.

As-Is, I'm leaning on the Boyds. The curves of a 56's body better fit the smooth curves of the boyds (IMO) If you were to say a 57, which has a bit more bold lines, I might lean on the Intros, but I like the subtlety of the Boyds.

I have a car with Intro's, and one with Boyds. Love the Intros, but the Boyds quality is just not that good. Go with the Intros, you will never regret it.

Intro's. It seems like 9 out of 10 muscle cars have a torque thrust or something that looks like them!

Not sure if these are the same Intro's but I took these pics of a local 55 with some Intro wheels. I really like the way it looks.

I've seen photos of that car before. Those are Intro Twisted Vistas.

If your car has an old school them get the boyds. They have the TT2 old school look. The intros have more of a modern look if you are going that route.

Since you want opinions, twisted/directional wheels went out in the 90's. :smoke:

I would say the boyd is a cleaner looking wheel.
