View Full Version : 68 firebird and bmw seats
Ive been doing some searching through posts concerning e46 bmw m3 power front seats, and I found a great pair from a coupe. Now I havent yet tryed to install these as my car is still in storage. My concern now is will these fit my 68 firebird without to much modification? Ive been reading that they will fit fine, and then I read that they were to wide can someone point me in the right direction before i put these in my car. Thankyou in advance

yeah they will fit, as always there may be a little work you'll have to do (seat bracket wise) but outside of that shouldn't be too much from the articles I've read. LOTS of guys putting those in your style of car (Firebird/Camaro). I've not seen anything on them being too wide & having to "adjust" the tranny tunnel... I may have missed that post...
Thanks Brad, I guess Ill figure it out as I go.
well i tryed to install the seats and the track was to big.

I installed BMW Recaro's in my '69 Camaro and got them to fit by modifying the mounts. I thought the '68 would be the same?

From what i heard they are the same
HEY THANKS SO MUCH SUNKIST! THATS JUST WHAT I NEEDED TO SEE. iLL GIVE IT A SHOT. I picked these seats up on craigslist for $350. .They are full power with memory. I powered them up with the battery and everything works including the memory. these are not convertible seats, but I figure i could remove the belt buckle receiver on the bmw seat and just use the belt and buckle receiver that are in the car, the buckle receiver on the bird is attached to the floor. here is a pic of the seat. do u know what year this is? Thanks again.
