315/35-17 Tires that wont get me killed

I put some 315/35-17 BF drag radials on the back and just keep them there, but I got caught in some rain and thought they were going to kill me. Can anyone recommend a tire that doesn't feel like im driving on ice if i catch a rain storm? Its seems the only options are drag radials.

      Thanks
      Derek

Nitto NT-05. Hell, I even drove their NT-01 (R compound) in the rain and thought it was acceptable.

Thanks for the info guys, nice too hear some real world experience on a tire. Looks like Ill be picking up some Nitto NT-05. I was apparently clueless about the BF's in the rain.

The Nitto NT-05 look to be some good tires. The two wide channels prolly account for the decent handling in rain. It allows the tire to cut through the water instead of riding on top of it.

And then for dry roads it has a large amount of surface area thats not overly cut with sipes. Looks like a great tire. JR
