Tires for 16" Wheels?
My new 68' Camaro has a nice set of Ralley looking chrome wheels on it in 16x7" and 16x8". I like the wheels and would like to keep them but am having a little trouble coming up with a nice set of tires for them. The tires on the car are Goodyear Eagle RS-A in 205/55/16 and 225/60/16. They are shot and need replacing and the front tire seems unecessarily small in diameter (24.9").
I would like to go wider front and rear and have come across two options so far:
Option 1: ContiProContact tires in 225/55/16 (25.7") front and 235/55/16 (26.2") rear. Alternate sizes would be 225/60/16 (26.6") and 235/60/16 (27.1")
Option 2: BFGoodrich G-Force Sport tires (modern tread design) in 225/55/ZR16 (25.7") and 255/50/ZR16 (26.0")
Option ???
I am leaning towards the G-Force Sport option because I would really like to get some wider tires on the back than 235 and the stiffer sidewall should make for better handling/feel. My concerns is that the tires might look "funny" on Ralley type wheels on a 68' Camaro.
What do you guys think? Are there other options I am missing?

If you have on 16x8 wheels all around, you could use a 245/50/16 on the front, and a 255/50/16 on the rear.
But then, you are just a step away of buying 4 wheels in 17" and 4 tires, and not have the problems with choice in tires.Dave
