TH400 cooler suggestions

I need to decide what type/size of cooler I'll run on my 67 'Bird. Trans is a TH400 with a 3200 stall converter. Will mainly be a street car with some strip time. Regardless of the style I plan to mount it on the front of my core support for max air flow.

How good, really, are the heat sink style?? Personally I like the stakced plate type. They seem to work well and are pretty compact. Just not sure what size and how many plates I should run. Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated.

A friend gave me a Setrab oil cooler he bought from one of those used NASCAR parts places. He decided he didn't want it. I forget how many plates it has, maybe 10 or so. Looks like it might work. It's a little banged up but still holds pressure. I'll post a pic and specs of this cooler later Monday night when I have the chance.
