Does anyone know where I can get Goodyear Eagle slicks, similar to what they run in NASCAR if not the same. They will be used for track only, but I'm having a difficult time locating someone who distributes them. Any help would be appreciated.

Goodyear race tires are distributed through select vendors different than their regular street tires. Even the street legal Eagle RS which is a DOT R track day tire designed for road course events like HPDEs has to be purchased through the race tire vendors. http://www.racegoodyear.com/distributors.html

This thread brings up some of my own thoughts. No, not trying to hijack. What about nascar "rain" tires? Ive always wondered if they would be a good tire for the road (street tires) where we get some wet roads. Im sure they are super sticky, prolly wont last very long. But the tires might make for a decent street tire for guys like myself that dont put alot of miles on? Just curious if its a worth while thought? JR

not DOT legal for one.....they are a super soft cut slick.....be cool but sharp stones can work their way right through the tread....I have a bunch of Hoosier circle track slicks for track use.....the "tread" is very thin.....plus I imagine those Goodyear rains would be next to impossible to get.

Around here the Goodboots are very hard to get.....you have to be a registered competitor in a series to buy them. Some friends run the Nascar (old Cascar) series up here I asked about getting their used tires they said Goodyear takes their old ones back and pokes holes in the sidewalls!......If you have trouble getting the Goodyears try Hoosier....If you have money they will sell them to you
