I have a line on some C6 Grand Sport brakes (same as Z06) but Silver Calipers with red lettering for $1000, this is what I'd get:

2 front rotors
2 front GS (z06) calipers in silver w/ red lettering
all brake padlets
lines

They have less than 50 miles on them, basically picked up from the dealership new, got the car home and removed them for an upgrade and now they are sitting and I asked if he'd sell them to me. I wanted to see what else I need to get them installed. Now I've been away for a bit, so I am not sure if there have been updates and I can use my stock disc spindles with Kore 3 brackets and hub or what..... But I am thinking its a pretty good deal. Also I have the 11" disc brakes in rear with internal parking brake and currently do not have plans on changing them just yet, so I am also wondering about which master cylinder to use. This will be a non power setup..... Any helpful hints or advice would be appreciated!!!

That's a great deal.

You can buy the Kore3 C6 Z06 kit for $1020 so I am not seeing why this is such a great deal. Maybe I am missing something.

Wow!! I am mistaken. Been a long time since I bought at set of the C6 Z06 brakes. Didn't know they were that cheap now.

I am not good at math today, so my earlier comments were all incorrect. That being the case, they have been removed.

You need hubs for around $325.

Just spoke to Tobin, looks like its about a wash....

So still deciding on what to do, leaning towards Tobin's stuff, support a vendor, n the pricings within $50 all in....

Now for master cylinders??

If I were your buddy I think I'd need to be dropping my price ;) Seems like it comes down to your buddy's being silver calipers vs. the ones from Tobin being red. He may be able to get the Silver GS calipers for you though...

Tobin would would be the best candidate to recommend a MC, as he knows the math/calculations used to match a set front to rear. What are the details on your rear brakes. I know you said 11" rotors, but which calipers? That will play a big role in MC selection.

I just got the silver calipers from Tobin. Agreed he knows his stuff. He would be the guy to ask about master cylinders. As Jeff said there are calculations. Not just size of rotors, but caliper bore size - number of pistons isn't as important as total bore size front to rear etc...

another vote for Tobin, I just bought c6z stuff for my car from him this year, the rear kit looks great with the aluminum backing plate and ebrake setup.
