Any updates on this beauty? Its been almost a year

Still waiting for that damn engine. Every little detail that can go wrong, has. Think we ordered five cam bearings until we gave up and ordered a new camshaft instead. Bearing failure on one of the rockers. Got the wrong crankshaft (not forged), wrong pistons (too small), wrong lifters (wrong offset) and the list goes on.

The car is a rolling chassi at least with working brakes and steering. Hopefully the engine shouldn't take to long now. Said that before...

Love the garage. When we did ours tile came up as an option but I was terrified of the drop/crack happening.

When I saw the email yesterday telling me there was an update on this thread I got excited.

Then I was like, wait maybe someone is just checking in asking for an update.

Then I looked at the email and I saw there were pictures

So finally this morning I clicked the link and as always no disappointment here. The pictures quality speaks to the quality of the build and I truly look forward to see this car finished. But I will miss the updates and the pictures.

What are the specs for that mini alternator? Brand/model/amperage/application?

The alternator is a Nippon Denso 55 amps with internal regulator. Don´t know anything more about it though.

Thanks! It was just a short run since the bigger roads still have salt on them. But it went well, just a little coolant leak due to a bad hose clamp. Noticed also that I forgot to make a front wheel alignment. There will certainly be more things to adjust when I can take it for a proper test drive =)
