Help
I am planning the build up of my 72' Nova which is already a nice car but has lots of updating and mods I plan to do to it. The first thing will be the brakes it don't have any or might as well not with a 425 hp small block the non-power factory drum brakes just don't cut it it stops about like a runaway stagecoach on 3 wheels! LOL I almost took out the fence at the end of the drag strip way past the lights. So I need some advice I am building it protouring style and plan to drive and show the paint off of it! So what would be a good choice of braking for it any suggestions? I like wilwood stuff but will consider anything even stock stuff if suitable. Give me a few options if you know of some also I thought I seen an article somewhere about Corvette brakes that could be retrofited to it.?????? any info appreciated I just wanted to get some opinions from the pros before I did it by myself and regretted my choice later.
thanks

c5 vette rotors and calipers can be basically a bolt on for you. for the front you will need to turn down the drum hub to fit inside the C5 rotor and make a bracket to mount the c5 caliper abutment to For the rear you will need the c5 vette or LS series f-body backing plates and you can use either the C5 rotors and caliper or use the LS stuff. I don't remember if the nova has staggered shocks or not if so you need two of the same side bracket to get the e brake pulling the correct way. I don't remember which side a search for C5 rear brakes will turn it up. Of course by the time you source all the parts to do this you could have saved some time and just bought a big brake kit from Tobin at Kore3. Front http://www.kore3.com/proddetail.php?prod=10103-01 rear http://www.kore3.com/proddetail.php?prod=10277-01 or this one with out an e brake http://www.kore3.com/proddetail.php?prod=10107-01 . I see Tobin posting here answering questions whether he supplied the parts or not.
