I got my 73 TA from Mark L. with 335 drag radials just pushing past the fender lips. But if the backspacing was a bit deeper than the 5" on those wheels it wouldnt have stuck out at all. The car was high enough that it didnt matter though. I'd say it depends on your ride height whether you'll be limited by the springs, or the wheel tub itself in a stock car. so while your springs may be out of the way, if you sit low then the wheel tub is your limiting factor.
