69 chevelle 20's on all four corners

Ok just bought my 69 chevelle & want to run 20's. For the rear i will run 20x10 & 305-35-20. But the front I need some help, I was thinking 20x8.5 & 275-35-20 but will this front tire rub. The car will be lowered 3" in the rear & 2" in the front. After looking at wheels I will be getting the boss338 so whats the exact backspacing needed.

You might be able to on the back, depends on your suspension. If you have a stock suspension you might have troubles. Thats a pretty tall tire in the front I would do a search for 20's on a chevelle. I can fit a 275/35-18 on my lemans with a 3" drop (My car is prob lower than that really don't know how much lower I am now) I tuck the front tire in my wheel well and there is no way I would be able to put 20's on it. The rear you need to be careful where the inside of the tub cuts out towards the outside of the car. Best advice I can give you is measure first and if you think those tires will fit, buy them and set the car at the new ride height and test fit the tires in the wheel wells.

rear would be 6 1/4 front not sure. I'm going to buy the boss 338 wheels so what is the backspacing needed. ZWhat size front tire will work.

for what info you can get out of it, i havent got them yet but i did order some 20s for the front and 22s for the rear of my 69, 3" lowered all the way around. jon @ driverzinc set me up with the specs i need, fronts are 20x8.5 with 5.5"bs and a 255/30/20, rears are 22x10 with 6"bs and a 285/30/22. mine may differ from what you need because of the lowering calls for certain bs when going 3+ inches

Before you order wheels make sure that the car is what you assume. I have done lots of muscle cars since the 90's and every once in a while you will get that car that had the rearend swapped from a different year Chevelle. 64-65 is different from 66-67, and 68-72 is different. When you get the car let me know and I will tell you where to find the factory codes on the axle tube for your verification.
