I have a great opportunity to pick up some chrome bullitt wheels at a great price. However they are going on my 68 stang.

front 17x9 with a 5.95" backspace(+24mm offset) and the rear are 17x10.5 with a +27mm offset. The lug pattern is 5x4.5 (114.3mm)

or this one....

The wheels are 18x9 with a 5.95" backspace (+24mm offset) and 18x10 with a +22mm offset. The lug pattern is 5x4.5 (114.3mm).

I'd hate to loose out on this deal, if spacers are needed to make fit, what would I need? Also what tires should go with this setup . This is the deep dish rim for the rear.

Thanks.

The biggest you can put on the front is an 8" wheel and a 245/45 tire. The back will take a 9" wheel with a 275/40 tire. This setup also requires rolled lips on the openings. The Cobra R wheels on my 68 coupe have the same exact dimensions as the Bullitt fronts you are looking at. However, I had the fronts narrowed to a 17x8 to get them to fit and no spacers required. Now you can get an 8" version of the R and Bullitt wheels. On the back I run a 1/2" spacer.

To run a 10.5" wheel on the back with a 315 tire is something I have been working on. The pic shows a 315 tire mocked up on my coupe. Theres another thread here with more info on this.

Great info.. Thanks... Yeah, wheels and tires are my biggest struggle currently. They make or break the ride IMO... :banghead:

I think you should stick with the Bullitts...put a 17x8 245/45 combination on the front and a 17x9 275/40 combination on the back.
