      67 hydroboost?

I have a 67 camaro and am thinking of using a hydroboost setup from another vehicle like an astro van . My question is, If I can machine a mounting plate so it will bolt up what are going to be my main concerns? Resivior size?, Bore size?, Is there a better canidate like from a corvette? I have four piston wilwoods up front and single piston in the rear. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

      Check this out.

Maybe dealing with Nick as I did will save you a little time, providing he has any left.

I hope this does help in some way, but I too need a hydroboost unit yet. What I learned so far is that the units with threaded pushrods are a bit easier to set up. And as for bore size I was told by CPP that as far as master cylinders go that 1 1/8 would be the ticket for hydroboost. I don't recall hydrobooster bore size being mentioned. Perhaps I could mic the bore of the bracket I have to confirm for you but it seems to me that Nick posted CAD looking pics with dimensions in that thread I linked above.

I would love to have either a specific part number or list of donor vehicles to hunt for. We are not reinventing the wheel, just trying to do a little more DIY than $$$.

I used one from a 76 Eldorado. I sent it off to someone, I forget who, and had the mount and pushrod converted to be just like the stock setup on my 67 'Bird. I'll try and find out who I sent it too. I think it might have been Hydrotech since they are a sponsor on this site.

I also used the pump/resevoir for the 76 Eldo since it had two return ports on it. Car not back on road yet so I can't say how well it works. But it should be ok since the front calipers are the same single piston calipers and I'm using the 76 Eldo rears with parking brakes. Along with the stock 76 Eldo prop valve.
