I have 315/35/17s on my daily driver, an 03 GT.
The tires are Nitto 555 Drag Radials, they are a great tire :icon996:

The Goodyear F1's and Michelin Pilot Sports are killer HP street tires that I've used with good success. For those on a budget,Kumhos are a good bang for the buck.

I have also used Kumhos and liked them, but I did not find any in a 315/35/17 at the time I purchased my tires
Thinking about my above post, I should have said the Nittos are a great tire for traction, but the sidewall is quite soft.
They are a real soft tire and will stick in a corner, but the soft sidewalls probably hurts cornering over a regular street tire, although the 315/35 Nittos will hold in a corner better than the 245/45 Goodyears that came on my car which I am sure is due to the compound and tread width.
so If you are looking for some great 60' times go with them, if you are looking for cornering you might find better
It's tough finding a decent "street" radial at a decent price in a 315/35/17.
There are plenty of "shaved" and "comp" tires over at tirerack, but I need a tire that will stand up to a few miles....this is my daily driver :(

I just checked tirerack. 315/35/17 Sumitomo HTR Z's are on special for only $110, anyone know anything about these tires? That is cheaper than my 245/45's were. BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial 2's are on special for $151.

I have BF Goodrich G Force TA's KD on my 70 RS bigblock and they stick like glue on the street once they warm up.

I would be very interested in those BF Goodrich tires at that price.... I've been looking for some tires to balance my wheel/tire budget!
If anyone could chime in with their experiences with this tire, and this tire versus other high dollar tires like the Pilot Sports and Pirrelli's.
Thanks,
Max
I have them on my car. 6000+ miles and they're doing great.

Like the title says... I have a camaro 17x11's in the rear. 315-35-17 sumitomo htrz tires.... 4700 miles.... bald tires.....
I have not even driven them hard. some highway, but from what I had heard they were not that great on highway, so been sticking to regular roads and they are bald. I have 275-40-17 sumitomo on the front and they are even worse then the rears.
DO NOT RECOMMEND them.
I dont even know what to get. I have to run odd tires because I am looking at the Kumho ASX (420 tire ) for the fronts. but for the rear all the tires I see wear quick in the 315-35-17.. -->frustrated<--

Sumitomo HTR and the II series tires arent that good on life span, The tires ive used and stuck with are Falken 452 they last, made of hard compound, although traction is a big problem only for 30 and under in 1st gear, and sometimes in 2nd.
